Painting with Light Critique Photo

This photo had to be perfectly timed to be taken correctly. The batman in the back seems to be made from light sources that look like flares or neon lights. If its using flares then it had to have great timing for the photo. I also like that they chose pink as the color for the photo. I like that they chose pink because the thing painted in the background is the batman logo, and you wouldn’t associate pink with batman. I like this photo because it looks perfectly timed and the color makes it look cool.

Silhouette Photography-Read and Write

Silhouettes can be use in photos to add drama, intensity to the photo. It can also be used to imply danger, loneliness, or other effects. A silhouette is a well defined completely black subject in front of a simple brightly lit background. There is a very special relationship between the subject and the light. The basic composition of a silhouette photo will not change no matter what or who the subject is and where the light is coming from. The appearance of a subject doesn’t matter or effect the photo. The only thing that effects the silhouette photo is the subject’s general shape which will be shown and outlined in the final photo.  There shouldn’t be anything in the background to interfere in the photo. Shooting at a low angle is a good idea for closer up smaller subjects. The subject should heavily contrast with the background. In a silhouette photo, always expose for the background and not for the subject. One thing that I learned from this article is that even though silhouette photography may seem slightly complex it is actually one of the simplest forms of photography but very open to creativity and experimentation. Another thing I learned is that there shouldn’t be anything else in the photo besides the brightly lit background and the subject(s). I have also learned a few other things. Overall, I would say I like silhouette photography and it’s a great form of photography. I love silhouette photography.
